Industry: manufacturing

Service: mentoring

Results:  improve quality, increase morale, increase productivity, improve service

the brief

Key leadership staff had good theoretical knowledge of business improvement principles but were not delivering results in practice.

the execution

Efficiency Works set up a mentoring program with key management of the business which included weekly support using web tools backed up with monthly face to face sessions.  The emphasis in all sessions was on implementation.

By getting mentees working on real projects in the business and discussing and questioning the obstacles they faced the theory of improvement was quickly translated into real results.

the results

Results included:

  • stalled projects restarted

  • a continual improvement culture established

  • mentees taking responsibility for their performance rather than blaming others

  • record production and quality levels
