Who is this level of lean certification suitable for?

 

MSS50316 Diploma of Competitive Systems and Practices builds on units included in our Certificate III and IV training courses.  You will typically be responsible for implementing Lean across your whole area, site or organisation.

Lean Certification Training and Assessment Methodology

 

Structured around lean thinking concepts and performed in the workplace this competency based training focuses on learning through real projects that improve the bottom line. To be awarded the MSS50316 Diploma in Competitive Systems and Practices, competency must be achieved in 20 units.

 

CM Systems Core Units

 

The following 3 units must be chosen:

 

  • MSS405001  Develop competitive systems and practices for an organisation

  • MSS405013  Facilitate holistic culture improvement in an organisation

  • MSMENV472  Implement & monitor environmentally sustainable work practices **

 

Group A Units

 

A minimum of 3 unit of competency required from Group A which includes the following:

 

  • MSS405008  Analyse and map a value stream

  • MSS405009  Manage a value stream 

  • MSS405004 Develop business plans in an organisation implementing Competitive Systems and Practices

  • MSS405014  Develop a communications strategy to support operations

 

Group B Units

 

A minimum of 5 units of competency required from Group B which includes the following:

 

MSS405020  Develop quick changeover procedures

MSS405024  Apply the theory of constraints

MSS405030  Optimise cost of product or service

MSS405040  Manage 5S system in an organisation

MSS405041  Implement improvement systems in an organisation

MSMENV672 Develop workplace policy and procedures for environmental sustainability

 

Group C Units

 

The balance of 9 units of competency can be chosen from Groups A, B & C.  (No more than 2 subjects with a MSS402 code.) Group C units include the following:

 

MSS402082  Apply cost factors to work practices

MSS404080  Undertake root cause analysis **

MSS403001  Implement competitive systems and practices **

MSS403085  Ensure process improvements are sustained **

MSS403010  Facilitate change in an organisation implementing competitive systems and practices **

MSS403011  Facilitate implementation of competitive systems and practices **

MSS403021  Facilitate a Just in Time system

MSS403086  Improve cost factors in work practices

MSS403040  Facilitate and improve implementation of 5S **

MSS40354  Facilitate breakthrough improvements **

MSS403087 Mistake proof an operational process **

MSS404087  Support proactive maintenance **

MSMSUP390  Use structured problem solving tools **

MSS403053  Map an operational process **

MSS403084 Improve Changovers**

MSMWHS200  Work safely *
