Comvita Australia, the world’s largest olive leaf grove completed a Lean Six Sigma training program with Efficiency Works in 2012. In the first month of training, Comvita made one small timing change to their processes, which lead to the saving of $41,600 per year. From there, the cost savings and waste reduction have increased as they have implemented Set up Time Reduction, 5S and Problem Solving projects. Efficiency Works tailored the program to suit their individual needs and the training allowed the company to learn, implement and practice new ideas.
Amy Gibson, Operations Manager, Comvita identifies “This training course has provided my team members with the tools to analyse and solve problems. By creating a culture of continuous improvement, staff are able to implement new ideas that leave them feeling motivated, and empowered to problem solve independently of my direct input…. we couldn’t have done it without the training provided by Efficiency Works.”
