What is a Kaizen Blitz?

Kaizen means change for good.  A Blitz is a short, sharp concentrated effort. A Kaizen Blitz therefore is a change for good in a short, sharp concentrated effort incorporating the appropriate Lean Manufacturing Tools. Each tool incorporates team empowerment and problem solving to rapidly make improvements to a specific process.

The Kaizen Event methodology has been used extensively for improving the organisation of work in factories.
